We are currently recruiting for Support Workers in the Brisbane, Gatton, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions.  Specifically we are after Support Workers in the Gatton area.

  • Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
  • Casual/Vacation
  • $34 – $42 per hour based on qualifications + allowances

Support Worker Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Participants to ensure they are heard and effectively communicate their needs and wants
  • Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition
  • Interact with family members and friends to ensure all needs are met
  • Undertake errands, shopping, appointments, and other essential and fun outings
  • Assist with supervision of medications in line with Individual Support Plans
  • Perform basic procedures such as applying and changing dressings
  • Assist Participants with personal hygiene and meal preparation
  • Assist with rehabilitation exercises and basic treatment
  • Complete concise reporting

Support Worker Key Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant discipline -and/or appropriate industry experience – and/or relevant transferable qualifications
  • Willingness to gain further qualifications and experience if new to the industry
  • Possession of a Positive Notice Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Drivers Licence (C class)
  • A passion for people and a genuine interest in listening and responding to the needs of others
  • The physical capability to carry out a range of manual tasks
  • Previous experience in supporting complex behaviours would be highly advantageous
  • Having a genuine desire to improve the quality of life of the Participants you support by allowing them to have choice and control over their lives
